The University is seeking to appoint one fractional Senior Lecturer in Data Science (0.3 FTE), who is interested in complementing her/his current position (ideally in the financial or banking sector) with an academic appointment lecturing on our programmes and participating in Research and Enterprise activities. Candidates should have a background that would complement our existing activities, with a particular interest in financial applications of Data Science, and financial technologies.
The successful candidate will work closely with departmental academic teams and be expected to contribute to existing teaching and research in Data Science. Candidates will also have the opportunity to join one of our existing research teams relevant to their specialism.
You will be able to demonstrate significant industrial experience and will have a good first degree (1st or 2:1) in a relevant subject (computer science, mathematics or engineering), together with a PhD.
